Home in the Texas Hill Country

Hi, I'm Alice Price, a proud seventh-generation Texan, born and raised in Burnet County. I grew up on my family’s ranch, which dates back to approximately 1907. This rural upbringing gave me a deep appreciation for country life and a firsthand understanding of how critical electricity is to supporting agricultural operations and the daily needs of Texans.

Many small towns in our district gained electric service around 1915, while those in rural areas didn't have electric lights until the 1940s, which significantly transformed lives. My grandparents' experiences during the early electrification period inspired me and I view electricity as a privilege, not a right.

My husband, Jeff and I still reside on the family ranch and continue the family tradition of raising cattle, a legacy that began in the 1940s. I am deeply dedicated to ensuring that our community has access to affordable and reliable energy.
